People have been getting off from criminal responsibility because of their wealth because they had wealth since there was a concept of it. But now it has gotten ridiculous, an actual defense based off of that wealth, that someone is too rich to suffer the consequences.

I think this has become an epidemic and it's time to find a cure. Quarantine and isolate potential sufferers of affluenza, protect them from going to their tax shelter disease dens, give them therapy by promoting they give more pay and benefits to people who work for them, make them asymptomatic by taking away their biggest symptom of their wealth and their privilege, whatever it takes, spare no expense. This affluenza is a plague that needs a cure now.

Best to nip the problem in the bud before it spreads further?

No one should expect to recieve a handout from the tax payer when he steals money from borrowers, gambles with it and loses.
