http://bluntandcranky.wordpress.com/2013/12/13/lying-sack-of-s-of-the-week-chris-christie/" Go big or go home, people say, and this was a lie of Titanic proportions: Chris Christie, who despite his name is not the least bit Christlike, shut down most traffic on a bridge to punish a mayor for not kissing his Christie Joisey ass.
Commuters. Fire trucks. Ambulances. Commercial vehicles. All made to wait in a partisan traffic jam.
And the Guv? Why, he is lying like the big ol sack of s*** that he is. The fact that an old high-school buddy ordered the closure? Coincidence. And the fact that said buddy is now off to parts unknown? Another coinkeedink. Thus spake the Christie.
Of course, the truth is already coming out. And hopefully all the fools he fooled and all the gullible twits he gulled will remember this moment before they are dumb enough to vote for this Lying Sack of S*** again. "

(13,986 posts)The Democratic mayor of the New Jersey town closest to the bridge decided not to endorse Christie in his recent re-election bid. So the Guv had a buddy who worked in the appropriate bailiwick shut down all but one lane of the bridge for a sham "traffic study".

(3,922 posts)Well well now, the chickens are finally coming home to roost (or is that roast) for the reining Jersey Bully Boy!
Let's see how light on his feet Christie is now as he tap dances through this one.

(12,325 posts)What was lost was:
The man hours to the commuters waiting in line
Gas for the commuters cars for waiting in line
Someone might have loss a job because the didn't or couldn't get to work
This went on for days. CC head should roll for this.

(13,986 posts)The MSM will try to keep going with the "bipartisan statesman" meme they have been using for him, and damn those pesky facts things.

(1,428 posts)Claims have been made that the lanes closures were due to a traffic study? As far as I know you only close lanes to effect repairs and worker safety. Exactly what can one learn from closing lanes on a busy highway during peak hours that isn't glaringly obvious?

(13,986 posts)But when you don't think you will get caught, you can get kinda sloppy. Christie has been getting away with shit for so long, he has forgotten how to do corruption competently.
