A Geoduck is a clam. It is the largest burrowing clam in the world. It lives in the Pacific Ocean. It buries itself in the sand - the bigger the clam is, the deeper it goes - and runs that long snorkel up to the top of the sand so it can suck down all the diatoms, plankton etc., it can. It lives a hundred years or more. It wasn't fished for until the 1970s because you have to dive for them. (Regular clams, you just make sure no red tides have been observed in the area, wait till low tide and go digging on the beach. Geoducks live past the low-tide level.) And the reason it's such a big deal now is because Asian men believe any food that looks like a penis will give them more virility and the only way you can get a dish that's more penis-like is to order a penis. Which you can do. (And which takes the old insult "eat a bowl of dick" to a whole new level.)
