Those basstids still never miss an opportunity to call Senator Warren "Pocahontas" or some other disparaging "Pow Wow" or "Woo Woo" name, even today.

The GOP oughta trademark "RACIAL!!!!!" (maybe with an eye-bug and a finger-point to go along with it) because it is ripe for mockery.

Rye, the former Executive Director and General Counsel to the Congressional Black Caucus, told the panel that “in 2010, the Republican infighting took a particularly dangerous tone, because wasn’t just about infighting anymore, it was about taking our country back, along with the resurrection of the tea party, and it was very, very racial, whether any of them will admit it or not.”

An incensed Ron Christie cut in. “Racial! I will not sit here and allow you to say that!”

“I said it, and I’ll say it again,”
Rye shot back.

As Christie began to deliver an emphatic rebuttal, Rye told him “You should calm down just a little bit.”

“I will not allow people to sit here and say there was a racial aspect to it,” Christie continued. “That’s absolutely false!”

It was classic "denial" on Christie's part. I thought his head was going to explode. That often happens when deniers of harsh realities are confronted with the truth.

about DU. Those who claim to be liberal or progressive and live in denial of racism especially when it comes to this president. I love it when they throw in the Bill Clinton analogy. Clinton was hated because of political reasons and Obama is hated for personal reasons. There is a huge difference. I may be an old white man but I get it and it makes me very angry. The only consolation is that when history is written the truth will eventually prevail.

He knows he has to take those stances or he won't keep getting paid.

He probably knows what Rye said was true but he also knows what he's there for.

While our country has taken some good steps, we have a long, long trek ahead of us. With Tea Baggers sniping at us from all directions (but mainly from behind. Bullies tend to be afraid of anyone who stands up to them).

was bullshit. Both sides DON'T do it. There is a certain faction (read teaklanners) that HABITUALY do it. It's race-baiting. It's using racist buzzwords to call out to the faithful. No, Ms. Perry, both sides DO NOT do that.

BOTH SIDES DO IT

In terms of the rules or reason, that is correct, because, statistically, there are probably some racists that are Democrats.

However, the magnitude of racism on the Republican/conservative side are obvious and over whelming. It would take some arduous research to come up with examples off Democratic public figures that do as much racist stuff as the Tea Partier wingnut wing of the Republican party.

Someone needs to put a stop to all this "both sides do it" crap..once & for all.. Start with eliminating "the other side" people who will never add to a substantive discussion of anything important.

It would be fair to say something like that, IF there were true parity....but there has never been even partial parity.

Republican spokespeople are on panels to disrupt the flow of discussion and to create chaos.. That's their only function.
