Hey Kids, Santa is a Dead Man and Jesus Christ has Nothing to do with Christmas, Thanks Bill O'!

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/12/17/1263384/-O-Reilly-Rides-to-Megyn-Kelly-s-Rescue-with-Picture-of-a-Dark-Skinned-Santa?detail=facebook

Bill Decided to Defend Kelly's "Joke" as true. He made a commentary, claiming Santa was in fact a white man from Turkey, I know that's still funny.

But anyway stay with me. In the clip he also gives a brief History of the Origins of St, Nick. He states that
"The historical truth is that Saint Nicholas, the prototype for Santa, was white,” O’Reilly remarked. “He was born sometime around 280 A.D. in Asia Minor, now the country known as Turkey. Saint Nicholas was a very kind man, a protector of children and sailors, his feast day is celebrated on December 6.”

"In Holland they made him a Legend and Gave Presents on his feast day."
"When the dutch settled NY, they honored St Nick. December Became the Month of Sinter Klaus... Complete with gifts and celebrations"

Ok So A Man born in 280 A.D. Was given Saint Hood, which I am pretty sure can only happen after death. Which Kills off Santa for the Kids watching hoping to see Santa's Sleigh Christmas Eve this year. People "Celebrated his Life with Gifts" in December.

Faux news claims there is a war Christmas, and Christians need to be Shouting "Merry Christmas", and beating up people who say "Happy Holidays" because the Reason for the Season is Christ Jesus Birth.

Bill just proved the Reason for the Season is to Celebrate a Nice Man From Turkey who was Born 280 A.D. Not Christ

The war on Christmas just got dealt a serious bomb from Faux News.

Now many of us already know that Dec 25th is a made up day to represent the birth of Christ. but Faux news Viewers Honestly believe Dec 25th as do Many many Christians believe Dec 25th is Christ Birthday and THAT is why we give gifts. By explaining the True Origins of Christmas to their viewers. Faux inadvertently proved Jesus ain't gotta dayum thing to do with Christmas.

Now does that mean we should not Celebrate Christmas? Hayle no it's the exact opposite, it means you can Celebrate Christmas anyway you like, because it's all MADE UP ANYWAY, and that's ok. But let's stop pretending it's anything more than a day designed to get us to buy crap we don't need, or use, it as an excuse to buy crap we really really wanted, but normally wouldn't spend money on.

I love this Holiday, I love seeing the look on my Children's face when they see the stuff we got them. I like giving presents to friends and holiday parties. And I know the Origins, I have known them since I was a Child, because I was raised in a religion that didn't celebrate Christmas because it had nothing to do with Christ. But knowing the Truth has never prevented me from enjoying the Holiday as an Adult. Because I know Christmas is what I want it to be in my life. And for me it's fun. And the truth doesn't matter. But Some people think they need the lie inorder to enjoy the Season. And Faux news just took the lie, away from them.

Merry New Year Everyone!!!!!

I enjoyed reading this with the tongue and cheekiness of it yet it was truthful and to the point. Faux Noise in trying to set the record straight outed both Santa and Christ. Good job Fake News. The only war is the war on the middle class

based on the pagan winter celebrations. Trees, decorations and presents all fall under the pagan umbrella. The Christian aspect was added later by a leader that was sick of seeing the fighting between religion followers and pagan factions. The Santa Claus most people see today was created by an advertising executive at Coca Cola. Commercialism has completely commandeered the holiday. Does this mean we shouldn't celebrate it? No, but it means that Santa Claus should match whatever race or creed that makes your holidays your own. And, sorry Megan, you bimbo, but Jesus wasn't white.

I can see the Santa myth as something like the parable of the Good Samaritan. In a world where white men supply the overwhelming majority of the looters, exploiters, and profoundly corrupt assholes, it reminds us that even an occasional white male can be generous, open-handed, and giving.

I can even see Santa as a kind of Buddha figure -- someone raised to privilege who gets grossed out by it and decides the find a better way.

That's a Santa story I could actually get behind.
