John Paul 2 was pretty decent IMO also.

Guessing your are referring to John Paul 1 as the Pope who died mysteriously as the last Pope to get too serious about the true messages of Jesus?

I'm not very familiar with these things and was surprised upon looking on the google that throughout history there were so many Popes that were murdered:

remains safe from harm. He has certainly angered a lot of the 'right' people, powerful people who like their popes and presidents to remain silent at least on such matters.
