But I sure wish I had one of those gingerbread cupcakes right now...I would bite that gingerbread man's head off and use his body to dip into that white stuff on top.

A few inquired on how this was done. I took this at UMass Amherst July 2012 at an annual weekend photo conference sponsored by New England Camera Club Council. http://www.neccc.org/
They have seminars and photo ops with models, pets, still lifes, etc.
This was a setup by a man there whose name I don't recall. It involves a circular mirror with filled glasses stuck on it, which is attached on an elevated ramp about 2 feet long. Usually people put their cameras on a tripod but I handheld, which did not get good framing all the time.
1) The mirror/glasses is set at the top of the ramp after you prefocus on the glasses.
2) All the lights in the room are turned off and you trip your shutter on the BULB setting, leaving the shutter open.
3) The ramp release is hit and when the mirror/glasses slide down and hit the end a high powered flash strobe is triggered, capturing the liquid as it spills out.
4) Close the shutter and then the room lights are turned back on.
This is unedited shot I took, you can see part of the ramp setup.

(8,039 posts)Though the one I would of used came after submissions were closed. Since mother nature provided it I can't complain.
Solly Mack
(90,761 posts)and I had little drifts line up on the deck on each board with a set of little bird tracks connecting them. I didn't take the picture since the contest was in gear and let the dogs out right away instead of making them wait for me to get the camera and take pictures first.

Wonderful work, hard fought contest.
I LOVE IT when we have a new person come in and WIN off the bat.
It has happened before but it is such a big surprise when it does.
Please stay around, edbermac, and let us get to know you and your work better.
