Will evangelicals picket gay weddings in New Mexico when the marriages start?
I could see that as a protest tactic they would use, as equality spreads and their side becomes more and more desperate.
Like them picketing in front of a UCC church where a wedding is being performed. Or barging into a wedding services chanting "This is not a marriage! This must stop! This is an abomination!"
Or finding county clerks in really red counties to refuse to issue marriage licenses, and then making them martyrs for their cause. Because the mean old government is making them violate their "Christian principles" by issuing marriage licenses to gay folks.
Don't laugh. As they get more fringe and desperate I could see them doing it.
