If the American tax payers do not get to share in the profit then we should not have to give entitlements to corporations such as McDonald's, Walmart, Walgreen's or any company which pays minimal wages and it entitles their employees to get food stamps and other subsidies. This is one of my pet peeves, it turns into corporate welfare. You don't hear the RW bunch pointing out these companies which causes the problem.

They'll just say that the minimum wage should be low AND there should be no social programs either.

But if they want republicans to understand it they have to dumb it down. Repubs would be scratching their heads wondering what "subsidize" means.

And go tell the manager...I'll be taking Betty the cashier at aisle 5 home for a few hours to watch my kids...since I help pay her wages I should get a few of her hours.

He said it was to provide security so our multi-national corporations could do business.

I said, why should the taxpayers subsidize the security needs of the corporations? Shouldn't they pay the costs of their own security?

He thought about it for a minute, and said he'd have to get back to me on that.

They've got between $100 billion and $140 billion in cash stashed overseas.

They created a dummy Irish corporation that owns the rights to all the patents. So all the profits get paid as license fees to this dummy corporation, and then there are no profits in the USA to be taxed.

"Hollywood accounting" has been legendary for years. They arrange things so all the revenues go out for contracts and fees, and that way no movie ever makes a profit to generate taxes.

Have close to $100 Billion in share capital between the four of them.
They could afford to pay every single worker 50,000 a year minimum and not even feel a dent.
