My wife confided in me she feels uneasy about certain events.

The Indian Diplomat incident

http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/17/politics/india-us-diplomat/index.html

The whole info about the NSA spying and the lack of stopping though the Judge saying it is Unconstitutional gives her a slight ray of hope.

The Russians with the Olympics and the whole LGBT anti-laws.

The President and administration not going --which we aren't going to watch but we are two people this snub though justify could be troubling issue on the world stage.

Kim Jung Un killing his uncle

The inequality in the United States and though public opinion says things should be changed it is very slow in coming.

She is worried about 2014 and what it might bring. Are all these things brewing into something to worry about or is my wife connecting the dots in the wrong way?

Every post from you is about what your wife says. It's weird.

Perhaps I should have stayed in the conservative Republican loving mind-set my family raised me in.

My wife and I often talk about topics and threads on this board. She is the one who got me involved in politics and showed me what it means to be a liberal. I was raised in a conservative Republican family.

If bringing her thoughts to this board offends you I apologize. Please feel free to block me.

You might want, if she wants to participate, to create a dummy account to sign up. Hell, I have a few now due to devices.

As to the rest, go for it man. 2014 will be an interesting year. Say hi to your wife and happy holidays.

What business is it of ours why your wife is not posting? If she feels free to talk to you about her fears, and knows that you are going to post about it, I think you have a wonderful relationship and I envy you.

The Obama/Russian thing doesn't bother me, but the gays are going anyway. They don't seem to have a lot of fear, and Putin wouldn't pull anything with the world watching, I don't think anyway.

Climate change is scary, icebergs melting and seas rising...

I watch History 2 and the things that could happen are stunning, but I'm not afraid for myself...too old, but I worry about the young.

Some good things, the people in charge are not warmongers....Pope Francis loves everyone, even me, an agnostic....some bankers may be going to jail...many more people will have health care (the downside is that many more people will have health care, considering the reputation doctors and hospitals hae).....and your wife has you....and you have her.....what's to worry?

The FDR Democrats like Elizabeth Warren are taking back the Democratic Party. Soon our party will be fighting for *us* again, instead of the bankers.

Americans are sick of war - we won't be having any soon.

The bipartisan attempt to cut Social Security benefits seems to have been stopped.

MLK, race riots, lynchings, and all the rest we had to face in order to face racism

Need I go on? This is, and always has been, a large and dangerous world.
