Is Don Siegelman a political prisoner?

Looking at the LBN thread on President Obama commuting the crack dealers I see some posts pointing out that Don Siegelman has not been pardoned.

I don't know much other than I think he was a southern politician convicted of corruption.

Is Don Siegelman a political prisoner or something else?

rid of the US Attorney that staged the whole thing down there. The Republican Senators and all the Congresspeople from Alabama blocked every nomination and threatened to do worse so Obama couldn't get rid of her. If Seigelman gets a new trial he has an opportunity to prove his innocence, the conspiracy, and go after Rove and company as a result.
