Wow, U.S. economy revved up......wake up media, this is good news!!!

[IMG][/IMG]

Wow! The U.S. economy suddenly looks a lot perkier in the third quarter, according to revised data released by the government on Friday.

Gross domestic product -- the broadest measure of economic activity -- grew at a 4.1% annual pace in the third quarter, up from the 2.8% pace that was first reported in November.

It was the fastest quarter for economic growth in two years, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

The government typically reports its GDP figures at least three times, and Friday's report is the final number for the third quarter.

"With each of the revisions, we've been getting better data and it's showing there's some better traction with the consumer than we had initially expected," said Wells Fargo senior economist Sam Bullard. "There is more momentum in the economy than we originally thought."

Being they have so much money floating around I think they can raise the rates NOW and quit mollycoddling the Wall Street casino for a change.

... with all these great numbers the Fed can start the taper.

I'm pretty sure they are going to but then the markets are up today so Wall Street must not think so.

You can now buy .... *drum roll* a 5-year CD that is paying 3.04% w/a one year penalty for early withdrawal.

This economy is not doing people that are in a fixed-income status no good at all.

... I've been getting ripped off for years now. I'm used to it. They can lower rates to ZERO, I will never put another dime in the stock market. I took my fleecing and I'm not taking another one

I'm betting that rates are going to rise modestly in the coming year. I wouldn't be getting into any 5 year anything either

I have never seen so many people without jobs. Maybe the economy is truly improving, but an idle population spells trouble.
