Is that not an accurate description of the captains of the "banking" world?

I think if I read that and was one of the super-wealthy folks of the "banking" world that pretends to be Christian ... I would be quaking in my boots.

2. A & E knew.

They knew but figured they could selectively edit a reality show to show them as religious good old boys instead of the homophobic racists that they really are.

And it is all but done, Papa Phil will become the highest rated preacher in the history of TV. He will go to some religious channel and talk the talk and people will donate and they will sell more crap and he will become the beacon of the redneck hillbilly bible thumpers and clean up.

4. Losses? Are you kidding?

I guarantee, the next season first episode of DD will be the highest rated show in the history of cable. If they don't air it, (which at this point I am not sure that they will) they will sell it in hard form and online. And it will be a smash. Not to mention the edits that are laying around all over the place showing the families viewpoint in real reality fashion.

A&E will clean up selling back catalog for decades. There are a shit load of people who share this guys views, look at the backlash already, and they will buy everything Duck Dynasty related. I am guessing that at this very moment the number one gift item is the DVD collection of DD Complete or whatever.....NETFLIX is probably doing that as well....

It took me a while to figure it out as to why he would do himself in and why A and E would knowingly put the guy and his family of hillbilly whackjobs on TV but now I see the motive for both.....
