Manning
Assange
Snowden
Binney

and all the others who came forward since Bush began the destruction of our rights with his anti-Constitutional Programs rubber stamped, sadly, by Congress.

It takes a lot of guts to do what they have done.

when some of our OLDER, falsely discredited conspiracies (and ruthlessly suppressed on DU, mind you) get the attention they deserve.

I could go on, but the PTB on DU will likely erase me (and I won't have to serve on juries).

There's a precious irony to which the owners of this website are totally insensitive.

And great non-Americans like Assange have changed history as well.

Authoritarian types who hate heroes like this are hopeless, and will never understand why others don't fall in line like they do, as good little sheep. The sheep gene was too strong at birth in most of 'em.

it is the whistle blowers that wish us to remain silent in our support. Silence can be confused for consent by those who would oppress whistle blowing.

Support of whistle blowers should be loud, loud enough to make it impossible to ignore.

First one made little difference - only slow the process a little.

The second time I backed a co-workers claim of sexual harassment. Her case is in district court now. I am still fighting a DORA claim. No teeth in any ruling. The time and cost of a court fight is just not worth it.

After forty years in the workforce I start my first union job Monday.

Yea!

Ok, this really is getting kind of religious.

And praise be to the whistleblowers, for they shall bring light unto the people of Earth.
Let them not be forsaken, but deliver them high honor.
And be not afraid, for thou knowest rightly.
Who do you say they are?
They are the whistleblowers.
They freed us from dread and the might of the great conspiracy.
