ACA Success Update

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about my wife's successful ACA enrollment through Minnesota's MNCare exchange. Today, she got her Blue Cross insurance card, and can cancel her old policy, which cost twice as much.

Good news. ACA is not perfect, but it is working, after all.

I finalized my application earlier today. I figure, if I do nothing but visit my doctor and take my prescriptions, it will save me over $1,800.00 in 2014. If something happens and I actually need to use it then it will save me even more since it is much better coverage than I have now.

I did add a dental plan, so the savings are more like $1,500.00 if you count the cost of those premiums without any savings from the coverage. I assume it will be worth something but I don't know what dollar figure to put on it right now.

I don't think there can be any doubt that Obamacare is already a success and will be an even greater success as time goes on.
