Lessons from scripture ignored by republicans.

I am not a religious person. But republicans use the bible all the time to justify there bigotry. But from what I remember they seem to miss certain points. Here are some of my favorite examples.

On immigration.

"You shall not oppress a stranger, since you yourselves know the feelings of a stranger, for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt. 23 9

Leviticus 19:33
"'When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them.

On conflict

He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Isaiah 2:4

On fair pay

You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
Leviticus 19:13
