Do NOT put your pets on an escalator!

Unbelievable. At an airport recently, witnessed someone's dog get chewed to death on an escalator.

How DUMB does a person have to be to be unaware of the dangers of placing an animal directly on an escalator?

You keep the pet in a carrier, carry it in your arms, or GO DOWN THE STAIRS but you do NOT - I repeat NOT. EVER. place a pet directly on a moving escalator.

This person lost her dog for Christmas in a very gruesome way and she will likely suffer nightmares for the rest of her life for her stupidity.

Just a warning for the unaware. Keep the pets off of escalators. Put them in a carrier, carry them in your arms or go down the steps.

What a God-awful event. Be careful out there.

To this day, I will never forget the horrendous screams that had everyone in the store crying.

Children or pets on escalators is an incredibly dangerous combination.

Oh God, I don't even want my dog near an airport after the horror stories of them being killed on flights or loose on runways.

This is beyond awful. I can't stand the thoughts, our dog is definitely a family member, it tears me up to quick her trimming her nails.

There were probably thousands of people in the airport and plenty of them witnessed this. Now they'll have PTSD for life.

11. Not only did they see it, but they heard it, too.

The poor dog shrieking as it got made into ground meat, and the dumb owner crying and the janitorial staff who came along to pick up and mop up the mess.
