Using eye-tracking technology, psychologists Sarah Gervais and Michael Dodd recently found that among 29 female and 36 male college students, the women were just as guilty of the "objectifying gaze" as their male peers.

a look as "objectifying." From what you posted, there is no definition other than length of time. However, in the study, the participants were asked to look at the photos. So we can assume they will be looking at the photos as asked.

The photos were photoshopped to show either more or less curves. We don't know how the photoshopped photos looked. Were they unnatural looking? Were they photoshopped badly? That could as easily explain someone looking at part of a photo for a longer period of time.

So no, it's not confusing. It's simply an unconvincing study that is not showing the conclusions that you seem to think it does.

Or is it just creeps that are wrong?...which begs the question, are sluts wrong or is it the shaming of them that is wrong?
Creeps is s subjective judgment of a personality trait and so is slut.
Shaming is an action taken...with intent to modify behavior with hurtful words.
So does a subjective judgment justify the action taken?....and if it is for one why not all?

Which goes back to the question of why one is OK but the other not?
It is just that I am sick of name calling and labeling...and if you dislike it in others then be consistent and not do it yourself.
