Scrambled eggs with cheese
Sausage links
Homemade pecan/cinnamon rolls (will make these tonight so they rise overnight)
Xmas Dinner:
Standing rib roast with au jus & horseradish sauce
Twice baked potatos
Green beans with toasted almonds
Fresh baked bread
White chocolate hazelnut cheesecake with raspberry sauce.
Yeah Christmas!

(21,478 posts)Seriously, steak for Christmas Eve. That's a tradition that goes back more than 50 years, as my single mom couldn't afford it the rest of the year, so we had it on Christmas Eve as a special occasion. I honor her by continuing that today.
Ham on Christmas Day. When I was a kid, we had our Swedish Christmas, but I'll be damned if I ever have to eat lutefisk again.
We're ordering pizza tonight...my husband will be jealous. He's a total carnivore.

(10,103 posts)Will take sliced apples and cheese mid-day.
Dinner will be turkey with fixings. I have no idea what the fixings are, because I will be eating at my son's, and he's doing the cooking. There will be turkey and some kind of cranberry sauce, potatoes and vegetables, spinach salad, and some kind of pie....no, I don't know what.
There will be presents and conversation and wine and coffee, and I will enjoy myself.

(22,000 posts)Well it is already Christmas here since I am +9 UTC, so breakfast was cereal and an apple like any other day.
Lunch: It will be pretty much the same, either ham or turkey on a bagel and Synder's of Hanover pretzels (probably turkey today).
Dinner: Turkey breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables.
My 2.6 kg turkey breast was $40. Yes, about $15 a kg (or about $7 a lb.)
