Hypocisy

Republicans seem to exell at it. Our good friends just sent us a Christmas card. They're always a little late. This year, their gay son is suddenly pictured with a "husband." Yes, that's wonderful. But their fundamental Christian church is still against marriage equality, and nothing on their facebook pages or in their communication with us indicates that that they've changed their mind on this issue as regards other people. Just their own son. Honestly, I don't know of any liberals who champion rights only for themselves. It seems to be a conservative trait, and a disgusting one.

I could list many other examples of rightwing people who think that whatever they or their relatives are doing is fine, but someone else does it-- well, that's another story.

Is this your experience as well?

how they claim to love freedom so much whenever a debate about 1st or 2nd amendment rights starts, and then later on, they support bans to contraceptives and gay marriage, and states enacting voter ID laws. WTF kind of freedom is that?
