Kennedy Center Honors...

on CBS @ 9pm EST.

The Kennedy Center Honors, which this year go to Martina Arroyo, Herbie Hancock, Billy Joel, Shirley MacLaine and Carlos Santana. In two edited hours, you get an entertaining celebration of the artists' accomplishments, a few heartfelt testaments and no acceptance speeches. No complaints here.

I loved the opera singer Martina Arroyo singing along to Piano Man.

I assume the woman behind Shirley MacLaine was her daughter as she had the lovely red hair also.

My only complaint was seeing Pres. Obama, in black tie, chewing gum...kind of irritating....but Michele looked gorgeous....loved her hair and dress.

One of my favorite Billy Joel songs (and I'm a huge Billy fan) is "Goodnight Saigon". When Garth Brooks sang it and they brought out the group of Vietnam Vets, I got chills down my spine. It was great.
