Former general calls for Obama to be arrested...

(Reminds me of this guy)

I think we can tell why this guy is a FORMER general.

Former General Turned Conservative Activist Calls For Citizen's Arrest Of Obama

Submitted by Brian Tashman on Monday, 12/30/2013 11:35 am

Paul Vallely, a former general who now works as a conservative activist and Fox News analyst, suggested in a recent interview that President Obama should face citizen’s arrest for his supposedly treasonous crimes. After suggesting that the country hold a “national recall” election, which he admitted has no basis in the constitution, Vallely urged people “get off our derrieres” and protest the government in the millions: “If we’ve got to march in the state capitals, if we’ve got to march in Washington with one hundred million people, then that’s what we need to do.” He even called for a citizens’ arrest against the President and administration officials: “I would say if we can make citizens’ arrest, I challenge our government that if we have people that are conducting treason against the United States and the best interests of our country, violating the Constitution, violating our laws, just as they are doing with these excessive executive orders that are coming out of the White House where you have a President and his team that doesn’t care about the Constitution.” Back in November, Vallely endorsed a Tea Party rally in Washington D.C. calling for Obama’s overthrow, although it didn’t exactly draw one hundred million people. Vallely has also published several columns that accuse Obama of treason.

I think the guy is off his rocker, but even if he believes his crap. Shouldn't he be specific instead of just treason? Conservativeness is a mental disease.

Yes, General? If that, then what?

There is one reason, one that nobody is going to impeach President Obama. It has nothing to do with what crimes they think, or believe, or want to believe President Obama has done. It has nothing to do with racism, or with tea party, or with anything. It has everything to do with what comes next.

I am a Democrat, voted for and donated to Democrats. I have donated to the ACLU, and am a member of that fine organization. But even I wince at the idea of VP Biden taking the next step. I am not saying that he is an idiot, a bad man, a misguided lunatic, or anything like that. I am saying that far too often he mis-speaks and says something completely artless. I literally rolled my eyes and thumped my head with the heel of my hand when he said many things like this. http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/31/biden.obama/
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/biden-self-defense-yourself-shotgun-201933598--politics.html

And I could go on.

I am not saying he would do a bad job as President. His position on many issues is well known, and I approve. The problem is when he is speaking extemporaneously. I shudder at the idea that he would be addressing King Wilhelm-Alexander of the Netherlands or the Ambassador for the Netherlands and mistakenly refer to it as the Nether-region.

Again, I am not saying that Biden is a bad man, or a fool. He just mis-speaks, and with our current international problems, the last thing we need is someone who artlessly if without malice, insults any more people of other nations.

I know that the Rethugs think that Biden is an idiot. You can find hundreds of blog posts, articles, and video clips of that fact. So even with the lunatic fringe of the Rethug party in control, they wouldn't impeach President Obama for that simple reason. Because they don't want Biden in charge. I've heard people at work and in town snort and respond with phrases like "Yeah, and then what? We'd get Biden as President. Fuck that."

FWIW, I was one of those who kind of hoped that President Obama would select a different running mate in 2012, but supported him without reservation when he stayed with Biden. Not just because President Obama was a Democrat, but because he was infinitely better than Romney on so many issues.

This is why I know that nobody is going to impeach President Obama. This is why I am not alarmed, nor concerned that they might gin up some charge or another. Because even the idiots in the RW have to understand that the result if you are successful, an If that is a light year long, you get Joe Biden as President. I donated to Obama in 2008, during the primary, and even I am uncomfortable with that outcome.

"Vallely said he that an Egyptian-style uprising against Obama is needed instead of impeachment". And from another article on this:

Vallely ruled out impeachment, which is outlined in the Constitution, as a possible remedy.

“Harry Reid still controls the Senate, so like in Clinton’s day, forget about a finding of guilty,” he wrote. “Incidentally, if Obama was found guilty and removed from office, Joe Biden would step in, Valerie Jarrett still wields all the power, and likely we get more of the same.”

Vallely suggested that Obama’s misdeeds – which he identified as a handful of broken campaign promises, Benghazi and the Affordable Care Act passed by Congress and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court – were so egregious that conservatives wouldn’t be breaking any laws by violating the Constitution to remove him from office.

“What else is our nation to do now that the ‘rule-of-law’ has effectively been thrown out the window by the Obama administration?” Vallely said. “How are we to trust our government anymore, now that lying and fraud are acceptable practices?”

You underestimate the depth of the conspiracy theory madness in this Fox News 'analyst'. It's not that they think Biden is unsuitable as president - it's that they think the country is secretly run by a black woman - double jeopardy for All True Republicans! - and that is clearly an Offense Against God which would justify them throwing away the constitution.

Vallely is speaking for Wingnut Nation - check out the FreeRepublic obsession with Jarrett recently:

They are in their own fantasy world of conspiracy theories.

I am glad that the DNC is calling out the GOP idiots who want to impeach President Obama http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/dems-call-out-bachmann-and-co-who-wanted-impeachment

The Democratic National Committee wants supporters to remember which lawmakers suggested impeaching President Barack Obama.

In the recent fundraising email, the DNC highlighted quotes by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI), and Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX), all of whom have suggested moving to impeach the president.

"What do these people all have in common?" the email read before quoting Inhofe saying "People may be starting to use the I-word before too long."

"We can have an impeachment hearing in the House and in my mind the president has committed impeachable offenses," Bachmann is quoted as saying in the email.

Bentivolio is quoted saying that if he could write a bill impeaching Obama "and submit it, it would be a dream come true."

If the GOP retains control of the House in the 2014 elections, there will be an attempt to impeach President Obama made just to keep the base happy
