We're making some progress on that Pebble thing. Anglo-American dropped out and Rio Tinto seems poised to do the same. I don't necessarily have problems with mining -- my brother is the camp manager at Donlin Creek, another large deposit -- but Pebble is the wrong mine in absolutely the wrong place.

I am a first world person of privilege sitting on a pile of precious and rare mineral laden ithings.

However, as you say, the Pebble is horrendously irresponsible and should be scrapped.
