6. Too Many Distractions Today

When you think back how so many inventions got started at a time when even tv was just a glimmer in the future the designer had plenty of quiet time to do his inventing. Music was another created at a time when the artist had much of the day to learn his craft and write the music that we so enjoy today.
Today's potential inventor have far too many distractions from Smart Phones, video games, computers and tv with 200 channels. By the time they sample all the distractions there is no time left to create.

It's so pathetic that people won't take responsibility for their own procrastination.
Wait to ship something until 4 days before it's needed in a time period known for its "climate insecurity" and blame the shipper.

So, obviously there were other things wrong other than my procrastination. Oh, and they still arrived before Dec 25th, but I had to call and trace one of them to make sure it got delivered.

Those guys are so far removed from economic realities the other 99% of us face every day they might as well be looking at us from Pluto.

The first one's a little unfair since it really does break down according to age. A callow 16 year old with no real life experience will focus on the cars, Barbies and parties. Anyone out there old enough to be struggling to make ends meet on depressed wages will get the point.
