There seems to be a lovefest going on between the media and the Pope. Liberals are enthusiastic about his pronouncements regarding disparity between rich and poor. They like that he is dressing simply. Children like him. All very nice.
But I detect that he is regarded as an almost childlike character. The New Yorker had a front page cover of his making snow angels.
Meanwhile, the nuns object to providing birth control to women.
The Pope could change this.
Until women have more help in controlling their own futures through controlling their own fertility, not much will change.
