(11,804 posts)But maybe they should also have a list of the best charities? Because basically this discourages giving to charities, and some of them are actually honestly doing good things.

(14 posts)I've helped to support a non-profit charity for the past six years (in an IT capacity), while my services have been under contract and the few other professionals who work for the charity don't combine to put the overhead above 12%, and yet still doesn't appease many of the board members who what it as low as 10%. So when I see these predators taking advantage of the kindness and generosity of so many people my skin crawls.
As a side note; I giggle every time I think about the fact that this charity (focused on supporting the troops) has an entire staff of liberal atheists running the show...
