NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (AP) — Police say a North Liberty man driving on New Year's Eve was pulled over with a blood alcohol content that was more than five times the legal limit.

The North Liberty Police Department says it received multiple reports Tuesday night about Chad L. Harvey, 40. He is accused of recklessly driving and making a very wide turn into oncoming traffic.

Police pulled over Harvey and noted he was unable to stand or complete a field sobriety test. Police say Harvey admitted to drinking alcohol.

I've known alcoholics. The tolerance levels they develop are incredible. It takes a lot to just feel normal, even more to be buzzed and a shitload to be drunk.

It can happen, but they have to be pretty far gone to the disease in order to survive it.
