I'd round out my top five with Robert Plant, Steve Perry and David Lee Roth (crazy but a great set of rock 'n roll pipes)

edited to add that to me, Freddy Mercury is a given

still really had it. Cummings had just lost a little of the rich tone he had but could still nail everything, at least as good as anyone has a right to expect. A bonus is that it's in Winnepeg and they get hit with a wicked thunder storm and have to leave the stage. The entire crowd stayed and they came back out to finish the show! One of the guys 70 something year old mother was out in the crowd and she stayed too. Buncha troopers there!

...of Savatage and the Trans-siberian Orchestra.

Alone You Breathe: dedicated to the memory of his brother Criss (lead guitarist of Savatage)

When the Crowds are Gone: simply a beautiful song

There are so many more to choose from, but I suppose these two are good examples. If you enjoy these, I strongly recommend finding the whole version of Dead Winter Dead, a rock opera about a 1000-year old church gargoyle, a Muslim girl, and a Serbian boy in Sarajevo, 1994. I promise it makes sense.
