Personally, I would kind of like to preserve that.
The reality is that using the new age broad based definition, it is a dismissive term with ill defined boundaries.
How repeatable does something have to be to become not woo? What the hell is the antonym of the new woo?
Anyway, can I woo you back to the older definition?

But technically the new term "woo" is a shortened form of James Randi's original "woo-woo", which is a thing nobody would want to pitch. Regrettably there is a memetic and rhetorical collision here.
