the last hour. Over 600 schools & universities in my area--including mine--are closed tomorrow & blizzard conditions are expected. I hope everyone stays warm during the brutally cold wind & snow the next couple of days. Also, bring any pets INDOORS!

3. I just checked & the temperature just dropped another 5F. I grew up in

Charlevoix, so I know very well how brutal the wind & weather coming off the lake can be. I certainly hope that the homeless can find shelter. I am worried about them--this could be a tragedy in the making.

4. They just extended the Winter Storm Warning for Kent Co. another 12 hours.

It's in effect until 8:00am Tuesday morning. Yikes. This storm is turning into The Thing That Wouldn't Leave.
