Is it safe to report spam?

Was on my Yahoo mail account - after finally getting connected in this frigid weather - and had a spam, some kind of a marketing "newsletter." The body of the message had a box "report spam" which I hit not thinking.

Got a response apologizing for the spam wanting me to confirm and I did.

That website is http://link11.sendmailserver150.com and a lot more info.

Did I just invite myself to more spams? Otherwise, Yahoo is very good in directing spams into a "spam" folder. Except for an annoying ad in the body of the inbox that looks like an email but that cannot be deleted.

What I did though, is what I used to from the earlier days of the Internet, was to forward the spam to abuse@gmail.com and abuse@yahoo.com. Used to work. Don't know about it now.

On the tab of that page there were Chinese - or what looked like Chinese - characters.

Will see.
