his existence. Was he also signing up for welfare?

If he was trying to buy him an unsubsidized policy on the Exchange (rather than sign up for Medicaid), there wouldn't have been any reason for him to go to the welfare office.

The one who is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky and who keeps getting in trouble for underage drinking, and once even for assaulting a flight attendant.

I've been thinking about this and it's possible the son does qualify since he's an adult living separate from his family and a full time student. What isn't possible is that his son was enrolled against his will. If he qualified he would have had to go to a seperate website (kynect) and fill out the application there to get on Medicaid. It's not possible he was enrolled against his will like Rand Paul is claiming. They had to actively seek out the option for Medicaid before he was enrolled.

This story made no sense whatsoever (which is not surprising for Rand Paul, of course).
