I'm just wondering, do they order Chinese, pick berries, go fishing? What do they eat, where do they sleep?
And, did any of them teach me in grade school when I had nuns for teachers?

Something dreadful is going to happen to it if we dont smarten up and change our ways, said Paul Hellyer, who served as defense minister in the 1960s.
Hes the first top official from a G8 nation to claim that extraterrestrial life has been confirmed, and he discussed his beliefs Tuesday on Russia Today.
Hellyer said up to 80 different species regularly visit earth, from the short grays seen in cartoons and illustrations to species called Nordic blondes and tall whites who could almost pass as humans. .............

And, if they can pass for nuns, we need them in our schools.

(17,235 posts)Like the Space Aliens, I believe humans have wreaked and continue to destroy the planet, its species and themselves.

(16,423 posts)I'm pretty sure he means the "Arkonides" from the series "Perry Rhodan".
Pictured here: A secret agent and a prison director's wife.
Pictured here: The alien science-officer that was sent to Earth.
Pictured here: Mascaren Atlan da Gonozal, formerly a Lord-Admiral, later sent into exile for sympathizing with the Terrans.
EDIT: The series started in the 1960s. And the first season was about aliens landing on Earth and the Cold War powers trying to nuke them, while the heros try to use alien technology for the good of mankind.

(49,212 posts)The bug eyed grey aliens come later. Both seem to echo the dominant tv/film depiction of the time period. In particular the reports of the Nordic aliens and their benevolent, concerned demeanor seem to borrow heavily from The Day the Earth Stood Still. They were really dominant in pop culture and in alien encounter stories from the period, which usually were described as being a positive experience in which the aliens communicate a message to humanity, usually about peace or science. It's worth noting that what he's saying is entirely typical of the pop culture depictions of aliens in his young adulthood.
The grey alien type encounters mostly copy the Barney and Betty Hill abduction story. In turn the Barney Hill's description of a grey alien seems to be inspired by an Outer Limits episode that aired a week and a half earlier (Betty described the aliens differently, but his image is the one that "stuck" for some reason.) Their account was widely published and almost all of the abduction stories since are variations on that story.

(1,428 posts)He is basing his opinion on UFO/alien abduction research. Not fiction books designed for entertainment.

(1,428 posts)I know people hear "space aliens" and immediately go into woo convulsions but I would rather see people evaluate and critique any evidence he presents rather than poo poo any idea that involves extraterrestrial life.

(8,636 posts)If you see a 'nun' in Las Vegas, her outfit is likely made of leather or rubber, and she's handing out severe punishment to guilty ex-schoolboys.

(15,262 posts)You gotta love how much detail he provides without any evidence to go with it. Where are the photos, for example.
All those aliens, all these many decades, not even a Polaroid of those nuns on the Strip?
