and the Norewgian expedition that solved many "mysteries" of the place.

There were even pictures of the islanders carving new statues and raising them using the ancient methods, which are similar to what this guy is doing here.

(Could this guy have read the book?)

I lost my copy, but it was a great book, and I might just get another copy.

and tilting the blocks into a hole was how they raised them. He just didn't elaborate that much on how they managed to get them into position. They really needed to be above ground level.

That's the genius here, how they likely transported them dozens or even hundreds of miles from where they were quarried.

Stones worked well as all purpose materials for millions of years. Reverse engineering how it was done might come in handy in the future.

still in the mountainside and some islanders carved a little more out to show how it's done. Nobody carved a full statue, though-- too much work for a simple demonstration.

But, I'm dealing with memories from at least thirty years ago. Point is that there is some ancient lore still around.

the pyramids were actually rock mountains to start with
and the builders just cut away everything that was not a pyramid.

Explains how all that sand got all over, too. function of mountain dust, wind and time.

Thu Jan 9, 2014, 11:45 AM

I enjoy believing in extraterrestrial life and it's influence on the earth.

I watch History 2 almost every time that it's about aliens, and lately have been watching SCI with Morgan Freeman. Last night there was a report on ufos and nasa on Public TV....Everybody is getting in on the act, and it's quite an act.

The guy building another stonehenge gets a lot of credit for his ability to COPY, but did he figure out how it would show the solstices?

Call me crazy, but the alien stuff is the most interesting on TV, and I like Georgio Tsoukalos' hair and so please leave it alone. He is perfect for te part.

If you watch SCI-FI Channel, you know everything on it is fiction. There's only stories, movies, etc.

But on History and History2, SCI, and the occasional special on the other channels, ET material is reinforced by anthropologists, geologists, scientists, witnesses from every walk of life, astronomers, historians, etc... You may not believe Sitchin, but nobody calls him crazy, and there's a lot of people to call crazy who believe in ET's and their role on and in the earth....
