Why even ask Dennis Rodman to interfere in the release of Bae? Rodman does

not have any diplomatic skills to negotiate. If anything, he should have been approached by the State Department out of the ear of the media. When the media attempted to make it a public event, they jeopardized Bae more than Rodman. It is not like the media did not know what kind of volatile personality Rodman has. When other entertainers visit these foreign countries, are they asked to do some the same? Coumo just made the situation worse. Kim is a fool who has to be approached by someone who has the ability to deal with the complexity of the situation. You don't send someone with a slingshot to talk to a despot with nuclear weapons. This is not a defense of Rodman, but I AM JUST COLLECTING MY THOUGHTS.

The CIA has a history of doing things like this, i wouldn't be surprised if they are using Rodman to gather Intel on a personal level, I know it sounds silly but Rodman isnt the kind of person who cares what people think of him so acting anti American is a perfect cover and one Kim may fall for even if he may be suspicious. Cant hurt its win win all around.

Rodmans incentive in all of this is a few great chapters in a future book or more shocking publicity which has always been his strategy.

All he was doing is asking if Rodman requested his release and if not why. If Rodman wants the press (and that's obvious why he's doing it) then he has to be prepared to answer questions without cracking (which he did).

Kim is a bit on the crazy side, but he's got a good education. He went to school in Switzerland. I'm sure he knew bringing Rodman over was a risk, but he was willing to take it. He's trying to make himself look like the benevolent compassionate leader (of course we know that's not true).

I don't know of any other entertainers that have gone over. The New York Philharmonic visited a few years ago. I know Eric Schmidt, his daughter with Bill Richardson.
