I would have to go back and read the transcript, but Christie

said an awful lot, "I didn't know about the emails" - something to that effect.

Not that he didn't know about the retribution. He was very careful when answering the more pointed questions or when explaining specifics of his past actions. Did anyone else notice this?

The other thing is he fired her for "lying", not for fucking around and hurting citizens of his state, but for lying to him... Why make that distinction and then not recognize or even mention a better reason for firing her.
