Yea, the GOP would LOVE this if he didn't get caught. JoePhilly Jan 2014 #1
It's possible, but he is not crazy enough for the GOP. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Rick Perry AlinPA Jan 2014 #2

This type of vindictive action would usually be a plus.

So if he can create some distance, he can absolutely get their nomination.

They'd love the media to move on, and for Christie to win and do the same thing at a national level, but with more subtly.

Think Bush and Katrina. Selective incompetence.

appeal to the base of the GOP more than him. Teabaggers and other crazies run the show for that party now.

It can certainly happen. Prison is for the rich and powerful as well.

I don't think he'll get away from it. He can try, but I think it ensures that he'll never get near the WH let alone the nomination.

Look how the GOP has already rebounded from the government shutdown.

Sure he isn't a crazy as Cruz or even Paul.
This proves he is vengeful and meaner than a junkyard dog.
If he pulls this off you can be sure he won't be handing out "Free Stuff"!
Throw enough KochCorprat money at it and it will be sold as one of his strong points.
Hate him as a RINO if you gotta, but the 47% will fear him.

What more could the average Teapublican ask for.
