This has bothered me about Christie's "grand apology" this morning.

At the beginning of the question/answer session, more than one asked to pose a question to Christie, but another person across the room got the go-ahead. Christie glared at the first person who was close to or in the center of the first or second row.

Christie was giving a long eye signal to whoever the reporter was and he kept jumping over that same person throughout the session.

It surprised me, as I thought Christie, of all times, would avoid any semblance of bullying or anger toward others at this press session. Whoever that person was got a "Christy message" in those few seconds of eye contact.

I don't know who most of the reporters were who were sitting to his left of center. Did anyone else catch that moment?

who came in and finally took the center seat or next to the center. A few minutes later, a male reporter sat next to her or in the center second row. This would be to Christie's left of center. That is the reporter I was referring to. If he is local, I wouldn't know who he is or his past history with Christie. There were certainly daggers flying for a few seconds.

and the local guys.

The governor might have tried to get off easy by calling on national types and avoiding the local types that have been doing Public Requests like nuts.

It's a different version of I do not talk to the press at all. So talk to national and avoid local, hoping national has not done any work.

and may have been the victim of earlier insults. Christie has laid a long road of potholes to maneuver around and it sounds like today was just a practice session.

Leopard, spots and all that jazz.

watch for the I do not talk to media maneuver if it really gets bad.

Honestly I was surprised at how long the presser was, (and that the media kept the raw feed going)

That happens a lot - with everybody. Your body language always gives you away. It used to amuse me to watch contradicta rice - literally a bobble-head when she'd be questioned or interviewed. How MANY times she'd be shaking her head "no" while her lips were telling you a "yes." And vice versa.
