Are there people we can pick on due to their weight?

Chris Christie appears to be losing, hopefully in a healthy way.

But are there people we can describe as "fat pigs" or "obese swine" or such?

Good example, a congressman here in Wisconsin, Jim Sensenbrenner.
I've never seen people pick on him due to his weight, which is considerable.
He's described as "Congressman Hardass," because he is, especially on immigration.

Now Rush Limbaugh?
Most of the time I see him described as "Pigboy," "fat pig," and other digs at his weight and the effect that has on his other body parts.

Seriously, I am about 30 pounds overweight, I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 210 pounds.

I simply love eating!
I do get exercise though, that's what keeps me from getting Hindenberg-sized.

Limbaugh is fat because he's so lazy.

I bet the most exercise he gets is getting out of bed.

Christie and I share a love of good food.
And New Jersey has lots of it!

Back in the 1940's we picked on Nazi Hermann Goering because he was fat.
Turned out he was a morphine addict too.

Other dictators get the "fat slob" treatment as well.

3. No. Ideally, we would all have stopped doing that by 8th or 9th grade.

For one thing, it's playing their game.

I always think of Mike Savage and his juvenile game of twisting Dem's name into "clever" insults.

It's just stupid and unproductive (at best) and insensitive and bigoted (at worst).

6. No, there is never an excuse

I have been slim and fit my entire life, until recently. I am not fat but I gave a belly now due to a medication I am on. I take Lyrica to control pain from diabetic neuropathy. If I didn't have it I really think I might kill myself the pain is so unbearable. One of the major side effects is weight gain. So people that make fun of or comment on the belly I have now have no idea of what I am going thru or why I have gained the weight.
