Amiri Baraka(LeRoi Jones) has died, age 79

I'm having trouble cutting-and-pasting with the new laptop, so I can't post the link.

But there are stories about it at the NYT site, CNN, Huff Post and other news sites.

Amiri Baraka was a great poet. Hopefully, he will be remembered for more than the slanders spread about him after his 9/11 poem.

Baraka opposed ALL forms of bigotry and hate...all he was guilty of was speaking unvarnished truth to power.
