UGH, hope this is not true!

I do have to say that the author left out one notable example: NIXON.

Chris Christie found himself in a wee bit of trouble this week. It seems that members of his staff, angered by the lack of support from a Democratic mayor, decided to close a bridge. Christie called it a “traffic study,” but there was no traffic study. It was politically motivated, the closure may have led to the death of an elderly woman, and pundits are musing that this is the end of Chris Christie.
Those pundits might want to take a step back for a moment. This is a Republican we’re talking about, not a Democrat. Republicans are not held to the same standards as anyone else in any other political party. Chris Christie may be a bully, he may have known what was going on regarding the George Washington Bridge, and he may have known David Wildstein was going to plead the Fifth. None of that matters. Here, I’ll prove it.

But he will run for the presidency in 2016 nonetheless, and he'll be given every chance to win by our complicit, pro-Republican, pro-corporate U.S. media to do so - something they would never do for a Democrat, and never have.

Thanks for sharing. It is the first article I've been able to read this morning and it's a winner because it's so factually true!

IOKIYAR, all right!

Corporate media is in the tank for the pro-corporate Party in this country. And that would be the Republican Party.

I hesitated to post it, because, well, it is depressing. Just hoping enough damage has been done to thwart Christie's presidential ambitions.

7. No, no, no! Not depressing! Eye-opening and, hopefully, educational.

We can't repeat this enough: Republicans enjoy a privileged status in our U.S. Media that isn't afforded the Democratic or any other political Party. That's why we need to keep articles like these at the top and front and center.

Most Americans still believe we have a watchdog Fourth Estate. We don't anymore. We have a lapdog propaganda machine. Just like the theme of the movie, the Body Snatchers, our Fourth Estate has been taken over and were killed in the process.

Wealthy anti-democracy and anti-American people have quietly taken over our once laudable Fourth Estate, killed it, and replaced it with the monster it is today that only looks like the news media we have all come to trust, but what serves only ONE purpose: pro-corporate propaganda with the goal to further the takeover of the most powerful country in the world, and to destroy anything and anyone who dares to get in their way.

I've also posted a comment under the article in order to support the writer. We should all do that so that she knows she's doing good work.

Thanks again for fighting the good fight by helping to expose the propaganda machine that's replaced hard-hitting journalism and factual news. Every article that does this helps in that endeavor.

the phrase "rabidly pro-life"????

The words are RABIDLY ANTI-CHOICE.

This is about the thousand-millionth time I've seen an otherwise good piece use that bogus phrase. And I was wrong, I assumed it was written by a man, but turns out the author is female: "By day, Erin is a mom, wife, writer and activist." I'm guessing she isn't a reproductive-rights activist. Sigh.

I've been wondering for a while now, why anyone on the left continues to use the wrong-wing's frame on reproductive rights, but everyone still does. Personally I can't even bring myself to type that word in reference to someone who thinks a woman should die rather than have an abortion. I wonder how anyone can.

(Sorry for the diversion from the main topic. )

everything, he'll be fine' pieces serve Republicans. Of course Republican voters have different standards than intelligent voters so they let their own get by with more bullshit. But this man was being called the best hope for the Republican Party to regain the White House and that is over, so to say 'none of it matters' is absurd. He was a contender, now he's not and that matters to him and to lots of Republicans. We just watched him take the first tumble in a great fall and this person is saying that is not the case. He lost a great prize. He is my political enemy and I am delighted to say that he has been swiftly and severely damaged this week. Let his agent tell people it doesn't matter, let his wife claim he's going to be fine.
