Mika was hosting by herself on MJ today. I thought immediately that Joe is hiding out desperately trying to put together a coherent defense of Christie after the revelations over the weekend with the newly released papers in Bridgegate. Mika is now less convinced of Christie's total ignorance of what was going on. In fact, no one on the panel was NOT skeptical of Christie's claim that he didn't know what was going on. And they all slammed the repukes who were saying Obama didn't hold a press conference and answer questions like CC did (they played the clip of that little shit Priebus on the Sunday shows).
I don't think Joe is going to be able to weasel out of his earlier defense of Christie. And he'd better knock off his "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi!" tirade. It's not flying now...
And who didn't love the segment with Lawrence O'Donnell? Refreshing to see/hear him this a.m.
A good start to the day, IMO. ymmv.

(7,768 posts)As soon as I heard that Lawrence was going to be on, I KNEW little "Scar" would be absent.
There is NO love between those two. Scar's always the interrupting, belligerent asshole and Lawrence is always ever so cool.
Besides, Mika improves 100% when "BIG MOUTH" is gone and she actually runs a damn fine show.

(15,234 posts)Joe does seem able to smell blood in the water at which time he does a reverse shark and swims away. It is a talent that at various time has helped him avoid dead interns, lost elections and unemployment. The only value he has is as a Canary in the mine. All of the brave souls who watch Joe's drivel, or Fox News, and the likes of Limbaugh to report the State of delusion are to be commended.

(63,893 posts)Yes, Joe is terrible and Mika is awful when she equivocates. But on days like today she "manned up" the way Joe could never do and voiced her doubts. She and the other regulars skewered Christie AND his apologists...playing that clip of Priebus and howling...stuff like that wouldn't happen on Fox or with Limbaugh...

(15,234 posts)He likes to eat, I could see him going a different direction on another network or God forbid he is independent and has to get a real job in a market you have to be insane to survive.

(63,893 posts)his statement all prepared accordingly. He rarely steps outside the lines of what the GOP is officially saying. HOwever, I think he might have gotten into a row with the the MSNBC head over this thing and he's hiding out to let the scandal simmer down. Trouble is, that isn't happening. If anything, everybody is eagerly awaiting the drop of the next shoe...

(15,234 posts)DU spares me ever having to watch Joe it is posted here.
On election night 2012 I would rate Fox as some of the best entertainment ever when Rove had his now famous meltdown and visited Fox election statisticians in the back room.
Any time you want to know what Republicans are thinking (or more often not thinking) go to Fox. CNN has value to just watch poor journalism and deluded apologist.

And now the Feds are investigating the Sandy money ad - Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! This is one 'huge' investigation.

(3,871 posts)things on a temporary basis until the insurance money and any aid was received. It was a very long time coming and at one time they heard that Mrs. Christie was "handing out the money." Doesn't sound too feasible to me but you never know. Nothing shocks me anymore. I was up there in the summer of 2013 and almost all of the homes had one of those yellow Caterpillar vehicles in their yard. Much work still to be done...
