i'm glad we're middle class, since we both have to take it (only he's got the flu)
everyone is talking about how horrible this flu season is but if we were a little closer to the financial edge we couldn't afford it.

(2,061 posts)I know this isn't an option since you have to take Tamaflu as soon as flu is detected but these guys in Canada have meds at decent prices.

(36,063 posts)and because immunity doesn't go away at the end of the flu season, it's possible that a component of one year's vaccine will yield some protection against a virus in a future season.

(9,974 posts)Last season we had a patient who had it ordered but it was not with his other meds in his med drawer. So I called pharmacy and asked them to send it up to us by the telecart system. The worker down there said oh, no...they had an instance of the Tamiflu pill getting 'lost" along the way and since each pill was so expensive management said it would be locked up in the omnicell from there on out on each floor instead of being sent up from pharmacy
