My Brother in Law passed away last night from cancer.

Cancer sure does suck. So sorry for your extended family. It's so weird and unsettling when you suddenly find yourself speaking about a loved one or a good friend - in the past tense. We had that experience just in the last few weeks with a good friend of my son's, who died suddenly. SO odd, SO not how it's supposed to be. All my sympathies, my friend.

I'm 58 and I have lost a wife and a sister-in-law to breast cancer and I have another sis-in-law that is doing chemo now for breast cancer. Sucks tremendously! It could be me next, who knows. I have come to terms with my mortality. We all get a turn at life and at some point it will end. As much as we should be out cherishing the life we have, too many of us just have to struggle to survive. Hope his wife has some security or his kids cans help her through this life changing event. It's tough....I know all too well.
