Happy 92nd Birthday, Betty White! 10 of the Actress's Best Quotes

or almost seven decades, Betty White has starred in some of television’s most popular series, including Mary Tyler Moore, Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland. Plus, who can forget her hilarious turn hosting Saturday Night Live in 2010? To celebrate Betty White’s 92nd birthday, and the wisdom she’s gained throughout the years, we pay tribute to the nonagenarian’s best quotes.

Betty White on Spoofing Miley Cyrus and Turning 92: ‘I Just Feel Wonderful’

On getting older:
“I may be a senior, but I’m still hot.”

On men:
“I’ve always liked older men. They’re just more attractive to me. Of course, at my age there aren’t that many left!”

On reading people:
“You can always tell about somebody by the way they put their hands on an animal.”

"Inside the Actor's Studio" a couple years back. Previously, I thought nothing could be funnier than the Robin Williams segment. I was wrong. I ROLLED with laughter. It was, literally, probably the funniest thing I've ever seen on TV and she was just being herself. Her and that deadpan look. Priceless!

I've always said you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat animals.

Much has been written about how one treats the most helpless among us - and it usually refers to children and animals both. I interviewed her once and she confessed that there is one "animal" toward which she's utterly bloodthirsty and shows no mercy: gummy bears. They're her favorite candy. She chomps them by the handful! She proudly showed me a large glass decoration-type container filled with fresh gummy bears that she'd just been given by somebody in the production office at "The Golden Girls." She insisted I have some, too, so we both chomped away on a handful of 'em after the interview was over! What a charming, lovely, intrinsically happy woman! Just truly lovely and young at heart! A real upper!

I never miss her. Her recurring spots on Craig Ferguson cause me to laugh so loud I am afraid I will wake up the neighbors.

I love her from afar.

I would even consider her a gay icon, though I'm not sure why. I guess because every gay man I've known since the 70s has found her to be notable and fabulous.
