A great shootdown and explaination of the danger to the Internet on (of all places) Fox

Okay it's Shep Smith, who occasionally strays from the reservation.

But its great to see the whole concept of Net Neutrality explained and defended on right wing Fox....This is an issue that in some ways goes beyond the usual liberal vs. conservative frame.

In the clip, ol Shep blasts some moron who says the ruling killing the Open Internet is a good thing..... Worth watching and sharing (especially with your conservative friends).

I wouldn't count on it. Net Neutrality opponents have paid off the conservatives. SolutionisSolidarity Jan 2014 #3

This is what I am hoping.

The problem with hoping this from the knuckle-draggers though is their exasperating tendency to support their own worst interests, or depending on them to recognize that corporatizing the Internet into tiered bundles is an assault on their freedumbs.

or Christian Fundamentalist website, or Tea Party News page, or porn....or any of the other things many right wingers use the net for.

There have been such strange alliances in the past when access to the media has been threatened.

Access is access, and lack of access is lack of access (and financial extortion for free speech) crosses ideological bounds.

Conservationism is a scam protection racket. When you are harming the country, you pay conservatives and they find a way to say that whatever you want to do is essential to Freedom.
