Then while investigating possible leads in Phris Phristie's office, the detectives find the emails and texts and discover that the victim was a staffer who knew too much and was going to blow the whistle.

Then Mariska Hargitay would give a really long speech, some tangent involving Meloni's family live would conveniently provide some sort of Everyman allegory to the situation, Richard Belzer would make a snarky though well-worded fat joke, Ice-T would intimidate someone, all while the captain is telling them to stop investigating.

THAT'S an SVU episode.
