The last Republican president let an entire city drown because it pretty much was filled with people who'd never support him. And now, at one time, the possible next Republican president basically withheld money to devasted cities for favors and retribution.

Federal aid and FEMA funds were flowing to Haley Barbour in Mississippi, but over in Louisiana, where the governor was a lady democrat, Bushies were throwing up all kinds of road blocks and LA couldn't get any Federal assistance for a while. Thank God Anderson Cooper was down there reporting so people could see what was really going on.
