It's hard to believe that a man as ignorant as Gates was ever in the CIA or any other

job related to the defense of the USA. He made some of the stupidest comments this morning on MTP. The main one that was so ridiculous was related to war in general. He said the US was always "surprised" by war. That there should be more "planning" for war. That the only war that ended well because we planned it was WWII and the first Iraq War. That Korea, Vietnam, Granada were wars that we can't say we won.

Well "Duh!" Bob. Any High School-er studying American or World History knows that those wars did not end well. And guess what Bob. No one ever "plans" to have a war. A country is threatened and then you plan to "defend" yourself. Unless you're planning to start one by invading a country you have no business invading. You plan for peace and defense. Not war. Unless you are a "War Mongering Country"
War is always a "surprise". It's not surprising that human beings think we must kill each other to resolve anything.

Bob Gate you have supported torturing, murdering war criminals by the name of George Walker Bush and Dick Cheney. There is nothing is really surprising. You meet the standard.

We did in fact plan for those wars years in advance of our entry. Brush up on some history.

The war plan was Plan Orange and the war unfolded pretty much as planned. WWII was not a surprise.
