Hey Republicans...

The answer to your rhetorical "question" is that she, that is the Mayor of Hoboken, didn't say anything before because she was rightfully afraid to. It's just that simple.

what you were trying to say. You could also possibly add, mayor to "she" so it's more clearly understood. Of course, most people probably aren't as tired as I am and can figure it out right away.
